Trying to settle a disagreement between me and a buddy. I don't want to pollute anyone's first impressions by posting too much history about this QB or his stats ...

Kerrville Tivy High School QB, #3

D1 QB or not?

Thanks in advance for any observations.

based on the one game, i do not see him as a BCS quarterback

not the strongest arm, fairly quick release, not as accurate as you would want, quick to give up on pass and scramble

he might be able to work at a non-qualifier school in the right system, but i lean towards no (from that one video)

Reminds me of Nebraska's Taylor Martinez, though not quite as fast.

He looks good on film but it's hard to tell about the talent on the field with him...Both schools are in independent school districts. I will say that there was a whole lot of white boys on the field. Don't know if that's indicative of the talent or not.

Average Arm Strength
Average Accuracy
Above Average Pocket Presence
Average feet in the pocket
Below Average decision making

Could play at a middle to lower tier D1 school IMO.

great vision, good size, very athletic. His arm strength would be a concern. But yes i think he cold fit in with Oregon pretty well.
