I remember reading about Singapore outlawing spitting in public years ago and thinking wtf? I also remember traveling overseas and seeing a chinese cabbie cover one nostril with his finger and blow a small family of banana slugs out of his other nostril (onto the pavement)
That was so disgusting I had less of a problem with Singapore outlawing it

that was just too descriptive
i remember reading the Chinese outlawed spitting during the Olympics.
