Downs won't start imo. He will be a guy that comes off the bench for his career. He's just not durable enough

His quickness and athleticism paired with him finally getting into college shape (missed all of summer workouts last year because of being a late qualifier) will turn Ego into a beast at DT. He is very quick

Our DTs will be alot bigger this year. Our rotation of Brockers, Ego, Freak, and Downs (with a little Davneport maybe) is a big group of guys. IMO an upgrade from last years guys who were both like 285

So is LSU preparing to evolve to a 3-4? Mickey at nose and EGO and Freak at End. Maclin, Mingo, Adams, and Rasco at OLB/ Stand Up End? Sounds good on paper at least. A great group of guys to juggle into that set.
