I think 4.2 is a lofty goal, 4.4ish if I had to guess. I do not think teams expect to see CBs with his size run under 4.4, if he runs sub 4.4 he goes top 3 if not they have all lost their mind. He is a big physical CB and if he runs 4.55 - 4.6 he will still be a very high draft pick. I think where he is going to shock everyone is in the short shuttle. Peterson has very fluid hips and it shows in his return game and the way he breaks on the ball. Fluid hips with his size and power is a dangerous combo.

Ya, it's not like he said he was going to, just that he wanted to.

I'd be shocked if he does run that fast, 4.3 is what he will probably run.

Truth. He really showed his strength on that goal-line play v. Bama when he stopped Trent Richardson cold. TR is reputed to be an ox in RB clothing.

While I understand the point you are making....there is no way he'll run in that range....he was running in the 4.35-4.38 range at LSU last year without formal speed coach training...I think he will run close to the 4.35 range and that will be enough to lock up a top 3 overall pick....

But I do like your point about it being more than just about a 40 yard dash time....he does have very fluid hips and excellent range of motion and change of direction...combine that with good size and he is obviously a top prospect

Jacob Hester ran a 4.59, just someone to compare him to for you..
