I can't give this book a high enough recommendation. The author details his travels to the World Cups in 2002, 2006 and 2010, and Euro 2004 and 2008. It's part travel diary, part tournament coverage. He doesn't labor the point on either, though. I found it at Borders here in town, but Amazon is probably your best bet.
VERY entertaining for the international soccer fan.
