Coach Hud is gonna have ULL dominating the Sun Belt with MS and LA players.

Yeah, but reality is if you look at who UL-Lafayette has committed, very few are being recruited heavily and they're mainly beating Southland Conference and low end FBS schools for players. The hype over "Hud" is fine and all, but this isn't Division II he's coaching anymore...he won't be able to take renegade transfers who can't pass or got into trouble at D-I schools like he could at North Alabama.

The other reality is that they are getting better players than before. ie. Harris is the #2 nationally ranked FB,Griffin was Mr. Football in his State, their WR was the 2nd rated receiver in the State of Miss. and the Aucion kid from Patterson was one of the best DB's in La.Before Nichols and other schools beat them head to head on recruits.Give this coaching staff one year to make contacts in LA and look out during recruiting time. The 2nd and 3rd best players won't be leaving the State for out of state schools.Boise State since 2008 only recruited (1) 4* player. The majority were 2* recruits and we know how that has worked out.No coaching staff is going to outwork the new ULL staff in the Sun Belt.ULL has started an organization similar to LSU's TAF and it has already resulted in upgrading some ULL sport facilities.

UL couldn't even get these type of recruits in years past. At least now the school is out recruiting the the likes of McNeese for a change.

Bustle had a hard time even getting solid Div. II players much less lower tier FBS players. Hudspeth is definitely on the right track.

Now if we can just beat McNeese...
