I'm sure this may be old news, but what was the final verdict on him? Did they take his scholarship? Is he in jail? What's the deal?

He will sign no matter what, IMO.
Whether he gets the scholly or not depends on the charges being dropped.

Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. It will all be irrelevant given the fact he'll barely see the field if he ever arrives on campus.

I think they'll still sign him, pending the investigation. I've heard that from a source close to the family.

I've been around the block once or twice. We don't need brain-dead student athletes who want to hookup with 14 year olds in locker rooms...REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCE. This level of immaturity will end up giving the University a black eye. Let him sign with Nicholls.

What are the actual developments on the story? Is there really any real evidence that he raped that girl or is she just trying to get back at him for something.

Woah hoss. I wasnt saying it that its ok because it is consensual. I know it happens, and it is the law, and most kids get away with it. It is unfortunate for this kid, but he had to understand the risk he was taking with his future. I mean, he could get blown by 22 y/o coeds in middleton every day, but now, he is going to have a boyfriend that his other cell mates call Bubba or Big Daddy. Bad judgement on his part, but I dont want to see the kid harmed, no need to pick up the pitchforks. I see both sides on this issue

If the report is true, and I agree that it is an IF, then he set the girl up. He had a buddy there waiting for her too.
