Did Saban get anyone from LA?

no
I'm not sure how much he really went after anyone though.

The only two IMO:
Mike Davis and Justin Hunter
Mike Davis and Justin Hunter

Yea seeing what Justin Hunter did for Tenn. this year, he would've been a homerun.

Lache
I'm glad we didn't get Lache now.
After watching Noel Devine's career (who we also recruited), I thought he would be a special "little" back after watching him obliterate high school endzones. But in reality, he is nothing more than a solid, not elite RB on the college level. And Lache's HS footage wasn't nearly as good as Devine's.
Give me three big backs to rotate anyday.

I agree that Hunter was a loss and can play but seriously doubt he sees the field more than Boone or Wright did last season. When they played they performed well. Hunter would not have supplanted any of the top 3 receivers IMO.

He never turned into "the next Barry Sanders" as hyped.
His numbers are solid, but nothing we've never seen before. As a matter of fact, Ridley out-rushed him & out-scored him this year.

I think we backed off lache
Im sure there were a few OOS LBs we wanted and whiffed on.

To be fair, he was plagued with injuries part of the season.
He will still go pro though.

sucked losing davis but most knew that was inevitable for weeks.
I'm still not sure why hunter jumped ship.

Early playing time at UThug?

I remember our best excuse was track coach.

This was alluded to by coach Wilson after he came on board with the Tigers. As stated before I really doubt Hunter would have seen more playing time than Boone or Wright got this past season.

Ridley will, too. But I agree with you that he will play on Sundays in some capacity.
I'm just saying that if LSU had Devine (in an RB rotation, mind you), he wouldn't have put up 1400 yards in the SEC like he did last year in the ACC. He would have finished well behind an elite Mark Ingram, and behind solid, but not elite college RB's like Anthony Dixon, Ben Tate, Montario Hardesty, Dexter McCluster. He may have also finished in numbers behind Tebow. Ridley in rotation this year even had more TD's (14) than Devine had in his best year (13).
If you are going to be small, at least have power like Ray Rice & MJD. Speed & shiftiness will get you 1400 yards in the ACC, but it probably won't in the SEC and even less of a chance of that happening in the pros. FYI, McCluster in the pros got switched to WR.

Agreed.
But I also don't think you can lump Lache in there with him. Do you?
I haven't gotten a chance to see him play yet due to his red shirt and never saw him live in HS.

FWIW Devine played in the Big East, not the ACC
