How many of Les' 17 losses were due to coaching?

Only 5 to me.

Tennessee in '05
Kentucky and Arkansas in '07
Ole Miss in '09
Arkansas in '10

Seems most "fans" have a problem with the wins - ugly, not by enough, lucky.

I'm not sure how Arkansas 10 was a badly coached game. One player seemed to cost us that game with his horrible coverage or lack of coverage on two key plays.

Auburn and Florida '06 both were a close combination of coaching and officiating.

you bring up a valid point

too much is made of Les' game management issues- imo a lot of it falls on the the qb

plus, you have got to think that he has improved in that area and learned from his mistakes

I think the issue is that all 92k in the stands have moments in the games where they feel they know more about what to do than Miles.

Ever watch a Dale Brown coached basketball game? It is the same frustration.

This years Arkansas game wasnt becasue of the coaching. Hatcher blew that game for us by playing too aggresive.

I think it is the number of close wins that did not need to be close, ie Troy, etc, that are just as much as the losses themselves...just sayin

All of them. If a player made a mistake that cost LSU a game it was because the wrong player was recruited, or that the wrong player was in the game and that a much better was on the bench or that the dumb coaches had the wrong scheme or that the stupid coaches called the wrong play. DUH.

Where does the 2008 Ole Miss game stand?

I know I was real depressed watching that team go up 21-3 on us like it was nothing before finishing us off.

I don't think the losses in 07 were coaching

that was us not being able to stop McFadden and just an overall team letdown vs. Kentucky

05

Tennessee - yes.
Georgia - no, we just got whooped.

06

Auburn - yes, I'm blaming him.
Florida - no, repeated bad luck. Les had them ready.

07

Kentucky - yes
Arkansas - yes

08

Florida - no, again we just got whooped
Georgia - no, Les didn't throw all those picks
Alabama - no, Les had them pumped up to play
Ole Miss - yes, inexcusable to get pounded by the Rebs
Arkansas - yes

09

Florida - yes, we had a terrible offensive gameplan
Alabama - no, JJ + CS getting hurt cost us the game
Ole Miss - yes
Penn State - yes

10

Auburn - not really
Arkansas - not really, more Hatcher's fault

I count 9.

Ole Miss '08

we were thoroughly dominated on both sides of the ball by a 6-4 team. We weren't prepared for the wildcat and played with no passion whatsoever

You can't put all the losses on the coach's head. All he can do is prepare the team. The team has to actually go out there and execute.

The right QB for the 1st, and someone besides Hatcher on the 2nd and these 2 are wins

Like it or not, that one was due to exhaustion, not coaching.

coaches did not take the wrong routes to the WR in the ARK game.

ALso, UK was good, they were undefeated at that time. UK was not a coaching error. UK had a good team.

Ark had a premier RB.

Dont you understand, both teams are trying to win.
