That 3 pt. shot was one of the most incredible plays in college baskeball history. Now I am going by memory from over 20 years ago, but if I recall correctly, there was only about 3 seconds or less left in the game, LSU had possession, were trying to throw the ball in bounds, and Vandy had a foul to give. Everyone, especially Vandy, knew the ball was going to Chris, and it was, so he was quickly fouled. So, LSU takes the ball out again, and yes, we all know it is going to Chris again in the corner to throw up a three- well, no surprise there, it did, and he swished an incredible three from the corner to win it. Similar to Calvin Murphy, CJ had one of the quickest releases you ever saw- you knew the shot was coming, but you couldn't stop him- What a legend!
