24th draft pick- is this in stone now?

I'm not sure what you mean by up, but at present the best we can pick is 24th because all the teams befoere us are out of the playoffs. If Seattle or Green Bay lose that would mean we pick 25th or 26th. I think the worst we can pick is 26th.

We are locked in at 24 now. The only teams that are ahead of us that were in the playoffs are the other teams that lost this past weekend. The reason they pick before us is that although we all lost in the same round of the playoffs, the saints had the best record of the 4 teams. If Seattle loses this week, they will pick #25 because they will have the worst record of all the teams that will lose this weekend.

That's good for us. I gather this is relatively new because I know at some point in the past the team's overall record figured in to the draft position, even after they made the playoffs.

The overall record still does play a part. But just as a tiebreaker between teams who lost in the same round.
