In today's college football LSU is probably a better job than Michigan to most coaches

This is the inherent problem with an LSU message board. Michigan is a better long-term job than LSU, fact. LSU is a long ways away from having the NATIONAL prowess that Michigan has.

Can you imagine ESPN having such a field day if LSU had just fired its coach? Of course not. LSU is a great program and huge on a national level, but it is still not Michigan.

If we had lost WWII you'd be right

But since 1950 Michigan has ONE (THAT'S ONE!) national championship - the 1997 title under Carr. LSU obviously has 3 - 1958, 2003, 2007

LSU does not compare with Michigan all time when it comes to wins - but other than internet jockeys trying to defend dumb threads... most people realize it's actually easier to win at LSU than Michigan right now

Other examples for you that you will ignore happily I'm sure... Florida and Texas are better jobs than Notre Dame now... even tho they have much fewer National Championships and less Historical Prestige... they are the name schools in hugely talent rich states where it is easier to recruit

In today's football coaching jobs

Texas > Notre Dame
Florida > Notre Dame
LSU > Michigan

And in spite of this IMO Miles very well could take the Michigan job because he loves his school

more publicity definitely doesnt = better coaching gig.. if you're a coach that feeds off of that type of stuff then maybe but as an overall opportunity for a head coach i'd say they are about on par with each other.. its not like your credibility deminishes being the head coach at either school
