I think it is obvious that Gary Crowton isn't the problem - you don't just happen to call a good game. The Cotton Bowl showed what LSU could have done with a capable QB - JJ played his best game of the year - he hit the deep ball which opened up the run. QB play has been the missing link for two years now.

You're right. Crowton (or whoever called the game) called a completely different game then we've called for the vast majority of the year.

Or it shows what a QB can do (even one as inaccurate as Jefferson) when you utilize the middle of the field and make the secondary cover you in space. It also shows what happens when you use your scheme to set plays up instead of just randomly switching from formation to formation.

Story of Crowton's career.

If he's really a good coordinator, then he's the unluckiest human being on the planet.

If you saw it that way and not the other way around then I don't know what to tell you.

Detractor say that is Crowton's fault for not developing them. I think it's a little of both. Sean Payton couldn't have got much more out of JJ and JL this year, IMO of course. Gary's prob gonna fall on his sword for this one.
