Not really. This happens a good bit in baseball. With everyone only getting partial scholarships, players will literally go wherever they get the most money. It's a legitimate reason, not an excuse. It won't stop until the NCAA gets its head out of its own arse and gives baseball more scholarships to work with.

why blame the ncaa? seems like they get the first shot when someone disagrees with something. clearly, the members of the ncaa, when faced with the absolute destruction of many non-revenue sports when title 9 (or whatever) was passed and dictated the same (or thereabout) schollies for girls took action to limit men's sport scholarships. basically, they had no choice. LSU can afford more baseball schollies, but we are one of the few.
