Maybe this will temper the notion that GP is a hopeless candidate for LSU or that he'd never leave

I have always said that he really likes TCU and the longer he stays there, the more likely it is that he'll retire from TCU. However, those 2 schools (lsu and texas) along with OU should scare TCU fans the most. I think he would give them a legit look. He was being linked to Michigan recently but then he signed his TCU extension. I think Les Miles or Brady Hoke will end up at Michigan.

He also apparently is making closer to $4M with incentives

If he makes 4 it would take, what, 5.5 to get him?

Alleva won't pony that up.

I guess all the posters on this board who can't understand why it's such lock that GP won't leave MIGHTY, MIGHTY BIG EAST BOUND TCU, are all congregated here. Nice to meet you. What is this groupthink about that TCU is a powerhouse that a coach wouldn't leave for a better job, or that TCU is on par with LSU because its in the BE now all about? Is it because ESPN sells these notions, and people take it and run with it as their opinion?

If Miles leaves the realistic killer hire is Patterson... he has been great at TCU and proven himself

TCU to the Big East is a double edged sword for them... they may be guaranteed a BCS berth many years but they will have shitty traveling to colder stadiums to contend with and if you win the SEC you have an excellent shot at making the BCS NCG
