quote:I wouldn't call seeing Dealey Plaza was "amazing". It seemed more eerie---almost ghastly to be able to stand in the street where a U.S. president was assassinated. The museum was very well put together.
Stayed downtown, walked to see the 6th Floor museum. Amazing to see a place where events happened that changed the world. Had a fabulous dinner at Del Frisco. Met some great Tiger fans tailgating in Lot 14. Was completely impressed with the Jerry Dome and the staff there. Didn't encounter a single rude employee. Made it on the jumbotron a couple of times. Was incredibly proud of the guy in the crown and purple tunic, very noble looking!
The stadium is certainly a wonder. The seats in 243 seemed very far from the field. Wouldn't want to sit in anything in the 400's for sure. Agree about the stadium staff. All were very helpul and courteous. Lines at the concession stands moved quickly with a good selection. Can't say that about the lines in the restrooms. This was the only time I've ever seen men's restroom lines out the doors while the women didn't appear to be backed up.
Didn't enocounter any rude or unruly Aggie fans. I prefer the Georgia Dome over Cowboy Stadium. But it was still a fantastic trip and fine way to wrap up the season.
