The coverage was surprisingly big time for a non BCS bowl.
ESPN coverage of the bowl game just wouldn't have felt as special.

Cotton Bowl was awesome. Best bowl game I have watched this season. Not just because LSU was playing. It was a big time atmosphere.

Fox had the worse coverage of any bowl game this year. How about those non-replays and the guys in the booth being totally unaware of what the rules were in different situations. It was all about them. And let's not forget the closeups on the sidelines when they were reviewing a play and Fox didn't have the replays showing.
