Look, realistically what big name is going to come here 5+ days into January and screw over their former employer in having to do a search themselves? The timing of this is awful. People are pissed because why did Dave Brandon honestly need this bowl game to know that RR was not our guy? Who realistically are we going to bring in in January that is going to unite the fan base? That is why people up here are pissed. Forget what Michigan man we will hire, it's the process people are completely pissed at.

Buyout issues?
My understanding all along was that Michigan was going to wait until after the first of the year to shitcan him anyway, because RR's buyout would then be considerably less.

1. Harbaugh is not interested. get over it.
2. You can have Hoke. He wants the big bucks.
3. Miles is already making big bucks and he doesnt have to recruit North Jersey to find players. Miles is looking at yet-another season in 2011, with a top 5 recruiting class, and another top ten team capable of beating ANYONE.
Explain why he leaves all that to go scrabble for Western PA and Ohio left overs with Joe Pa and sweater boy?

So would it have made a difference to fire Rich Rod before the bowl game? Do you think Miles or whoever else they may go after is going to give a definitive answer between the end of the season and their bowl game? When would have been the ideal time to rid the program of Rich Rod? The bottom line is keeping Rich Rod was going to set the program back 1-2 years every year he is there...they are more than likely going to go with someone who runs a system like JH or LM and it will take time to get the right players in there...I guess I just don't understand the issue of timing...it was going to happen...why not save a couple million in the process?
