I doubt it. TV audience makes the bowl more money in the long run. Depending on the bowl, schools guarantee so many tickets to be sold.

LSU is still at the bottom. However, this site lists all teams throughout those years and they have Oklahoma at the very bottom.

A ten yr average starting in 98 is hopelessly skewed and relatively worthless as an indicator of current or more recent reality
