re: Colt 1911

I cant really compare one brand against another as to which is better, but I can tell you that I have a Sig 1911 that I am extremely pleased with. It is very good looking, shoots great, already has many custom features and is priced under $1000. I have fired about 1000 rounds thru mine without issue. All of the brands mentioned (Kimber, Springfield, Colt, etc) are all good but it just depends what you want, like and how much you want to spend.

One poster said not to overanalyze the decision and that is good advice. Select one you like in the price range you want to pay and you will be just fine.
