I'd rather start low and move up. I like it.

Quality starters and pitching depth will be our undoing.

I've got a feeling this team will climb swiftly. The pitching in the fall was lights out. The kid from Colorado(Gausman I think)is going to be an instant star a'la Ranaudo IMO. The talent, especially in the outfield is as deep as I've seen. Ty Ross will be a freshman AA and Raph Rhymes is a hitting machine. The Fullerton series come March should be SRO in the Box. Can't wait.

Being that last year our pitching was pretty gawd aweful at times and we struggled with depth...unless you're just counting on a bunch of freshmen to jump right in the rotation and pitch lights out.

The bats kind of change everything, plus Alsup is going to get to pitch more this year, so there's a stud for us.

Not a bunch, but a few like Eades, Jones, and Gausman could def make a big impact.

You linked an article from last august? Fall ball has happened since then, and lots of guys are promising.

I've had season tickets for the past couple years and to depend on true freshmen to carry your bullpen is more than optimistic. LSU's last couple staffs that were quality had a mix of experienced sophmores with upperclassmen. Maybe, maybe a few freshmen contributing...but don't sit back and act like these guys are the reincarnation of Matty Ott and Ben McDonald.

Really. I was expecting us to be ranked lower than 15. I doubt Baseball America has us this high. While we have some good young talent, we are counting on a lot of unproven players this season. Don't expect LSU to get to be getting their usual hype.

I did because it stated a fact that we needed pitching, which my point was it would be our weakness. If we find 5 new solid contributers, great...but at this point it'd be overly optimistic to even try to hypothesize on who will just walk in and be a solid contributer.

Unproven pitching staff. The talent is there. It will be nice to see them develop into the next great tigers. Looking forward to the season.

Tyler Jones isn't a freshmen and you are kind of understating the bat change, that will do wonders for our mediocre pitching staff

Alright then, if you say so. I haven't seen the bats in action yet to make a judgement but if it's across the board change, it also helps everyone else too. Hopefully it will play to our strengths more than it does theirs.

Well, our hitting should be as strong as anyone else this year

I'm not saying they are gonna light the world on fire, or am guaranteeing they will be good, I just think there is a decent chance the staff will be good.
