Added, left out some that are more mainstreak like Mallrats and Last Boy Scout, a few are not Instant anymore either. Hate when Netflix does that cause I watched a few really good movies that are no longer instant.

The Trap
Revanche
Jerichow
Broken Embraces
El Aura
Tears of The Black Tiger(my new avatar)

Thanks, just watched on the recommendation. Very good, I've always liked Adam Scott as an a-hole character actor, but he does a great job all around here (even though he's still an a-hole).

Tducen, you've got The Suicide Tourist in Foreign, but it's an American documentary (and you still have it misspelled as I did when posting it) and The Wonderful and Wacky Whites of West Virginia is under comedy, but it's a doc as well (though funny).

Non-traditional westerns

Champion
The Lady From Shanghai
Moonrise
Night and the City
Laura
The Big Sleep
The Killing
The Scar
Scarlet Street
Kansas City Confidential
Gilda
Edge of Doom
Odd Man Out
Union Station
Cry Danger
I Wake Up Screaming
Niagara

There's a few more I didn't put down but those will get you started.

I guess I'd go with Odd Man Out, same director as 3rd Man and James Mason is a great actor. Then I'd probably go with Laura, should be one of the more accessible ones and Gene Tierney is smoking hot in it.

Documentary

Food Inc.
Check out Helvetica - very interesting
The Lottery
Joan Rivers:A Piece of Work (just added - very good)
King Corn
It Might Get Loud
I also highly recommend the "Up" series by Michael Apted (7up, 14up, 21up etc). He follows peoples lives through time and it is a fascinating study. Watch them in order, obviously.

You can also stream a lot of good TV shows that you may have missed early seasons of. I have watched all of Weeds, Dexter, Tudors, and 24. Also Reno 911, lots of monty python.

Forgot to mention the best documentarian of all time, Errol Morris.

Several of his greats stream, including Fast, Cheap and Out of Control and The Thin Blue Line. Both masterpieces.

Noticed they just added La Jetee the original 12 Monkeys. Only a half hour, no dialog the story is told with stills.

Just watched The Sicilian Girl last night. Italian film. Pretty good. About a seventeen year-old girl who turns witness against the sicilian mafia. Based on a true story.
