How much of a drop off, if any, should we see next year with Minter replacing Shepard at MLB? Is it a given that Francois will start at Sam over Barrow?

many of the players say that Minter is a beast

Baker said earlier in the year that he was the most surprising/impressive player that people dont know about

Of course he isnt going to step in if shep like nothing happened but i think he is going to be a beast in purple and gold

I think you're underestimating Minter's ability. From a leadership standpoint, KS will be very difficult to replace, but I don't think there will be much of a dropoff in production at MLB if Minter wins the job next season.

You don't replace an All-SEC player at ANY position with a guy who saw limited action without a significant drop in performance.

See Florida 2010.

If any? Seriously? An All-SEC LB is getting replaced by a RSFR. I'm sure the dropoff will be considerable. I'm not saying Minter will suck, but he's not KS just yet.

Minter....dont automatically count him in as the starter! Barrow...does not play behind Francios...he is behind Baker..

I think Minter will miss Drake Nevis. I really hope Downs or someone else steps up at DT next year.

I was referring to leadership and experience in big games more than talent alone.

What happened to our leadership and experience against Auburn and Arkansas, even Ole Miss? Athleticism, talent, leadership and experience don't mean jack shite if you're blowing coverages and don't know your assignments in those big games............

I wouldn't be surprised if he did, but it's quite a stretch for him to be starting in the middle next year after spending half a season at defensive end.

Minter will have growing pains. Shep wasn't SHEP until midway through his junior season. Minter will be a good one.

It is NOT on Minter to completely fill the leadership void, just because he is in the middle. Leadership at Mike is EARNED by play. Mr. Ryan Baker needs to start out as the leader and groom Minter to take over by year's end in New Orleans.
