Thought I saw a Shefter tweet about him as a frontrunner for the HC job. Havent seen anything since. Should I prepare myself for future 8-8, 7-9 and 9-7 seasons till Brees retires?

I think GW being mentioned as a HEAD Coach is laughable. He's a Defensive specialist and that is where he needs to stay.

So is Chan Gailey being hired as a HC but it happened. Anyone know if this has some legs to it or no?

If GW leaves, I think we'll see Fox replace him at DC. Fox was not a great HC but he's a good DC. Fox and Payton are good friends.

Two candidates to watch in Denver: Vikings HC Leslie Frazier, whose contract is up first week in January, and Air Force HC Troy Calhoun.

This is all I found from Schefter's tweets.

Troy Calhoun was an assistant at Denver from 2003-2005, perhaps he still has strong ties there. Either way, I'd sure as hell hate to lose Greg Williams.

"Fox would be an upgrade."

That is a lofty statement. Not saying you are right or wrong but it is something to think about. Why do you think so?

Fox has too good a track record in Carolina to not be considered for another HC job.
