Just had an Arkansas fan pop in on my celebration status on facebook to tell me Mettenberger would be fourth string at Arkansas. Didn't Petrino try pretty hard to recruit him? I just wanted to confirm before I blasted back.

Arkansas fans are jealous. They want the status that LSU has enjoyed the last decade.

Mett would probably be behind Wilson and Mitchell yes...

Mett does not need to be better than Mallett nor his backups. Mett just needs to be better than JJ and JLee. He just needs to be as good as MMauck and MFlynn.

I do not know how "seriously" Petrino tried to recruit him, but I believe we would definitely be glad to have him. Congrats, I think he'll improve y'alls offensive production.
