quote:

“I played a pretty good ballgame, but it just wasn’t enough on my behalf. The opportunities we had to put points on the board, we should’ve put up there. The defense stopped them a couple of times to give us opportunities, we’ve just got to execute.” - LSU QB Jordan Jefferson on how he and the offense performed

time and again these kind of statements from JJ give me a feeling that he is the kind of person not willing to take any responsibilty

Sounds like he's shouldering some blame?

It doesn't matter what the kid does, some people will never like him.

There are more than a handful of players and staff that were much worse than Jefferson yesterday, yet he'll be the one who gets the blame. Then you'll have people who take half his quote out of context and say he has an attitude problem.

JJ just cannot run the offense. He looked totally lost yesterday. Mettenberger is a must for LSU next season, but somehow believe JJ will start over him next year as well.

With a solid QB, LSU could be undefeated this year.

That quote is loads better than they were early in the season. He did play a pretty good game. It wasn't perfect and it wasn't enough to win. I read that quote as acknowledging that fact.

i could have done without that statement. Let your play do the talking rather than saying that to get the heat off of you.

I know he shouldered some of the blame which is good but i still don't like him saying he played well.

In Mr. Jefferson's defense, he is just a kid. It is easy, I think, to misunderstand the intent behind the statement's. None of us know him personally. He is probably a good person on the whole, but not mature enough to consider that everything he says may/will be twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools.

Easy on him.
