Rinse oysters until the water runs clear...and then some.

Add salt to oysters and ice. Let soak for about an hour or two and shuck. The brine makes all the difference.

Im assuming the oysters are still alive and they will clean themselves out??

I love oysters, but hate getting that grit in my mouth. It seams that there is still sand or something in the oyster when i chomp down on a ball of sand. Sucks.
