Wow there are some idiots in this thread.. I CAN WALK A MILE!

I was am member of the LSU Track team for christs sake.

Why should I pay $20 dollars for a parking spot A MILE AWAY??

Whether I park at the front of the lot or the back makes no difference.. That spot at the back is STILL 20 dollars for it.

Show me another NFL franchise or college that charges for parking a mile away from the venue.

Who else does it?

I have no issue parking a in those lots when its free and using my legs to make the walk. The issue is parking there and paying 20 dollars to make that walk.

people won't sell, but they won't tailgate either. they will just show up an hour before kickoff, park far away, grab a shuttle or walk, and go to the game

this has a significant chance to really hurt the LSU gameday atmosphere

P.S. I'm loving the class warfare this is creating amongst the fanbase

And people wonder why Tiger Stadium isn't as loud as it used to be. You have to pay to tailgate!! The people that are loud and watch the game can't afford to pay that outrageous fee! Now it's too exclusive like it's a secret club or something.

the point is, by parking that far away, youre not really gaining any real advantage is regards to distance from the stadium...people who by parking tags and have reserved spots are, thats why they pay

if im parking a mile away, im forfeiting any advantage i could have, so why should i pay?

Holy shite someone with a brain.

AM doesnt give a damn because he has one of those parking passes. I would gladly buy off of him and PAY to have the advantage of being near the stadium in a reserved area.

I dont want to pay money for the sake of paying money though.

Rangers games were $10 back in 96 for the same distance as the hayfields, and that is a MUCH smaller crowd spread out of an 81 game schedule.

LSU fans proving yet again to be the whiniest bitchingest, most entitled fans in sports.

Why would I do that? I can afford it and have no problem with the price increases.

You are the one that is extremely emotional disturbed by the change and obviously can't afford to go to games anymore with the $20 increase. I'm just letting you know that I can put in touch with people when you are ready to sell.
Very easy for you to say this because you already have a parking pass. I have one as well and we both know they are not easy to come by if they are not in your name.

that there is some fricked Up logic. Because I have to pay to park, i'm going to get out there an hour before the game. I am still going to have to park. Only now I'm going to spend $20 worth of time and fuel, and energy finding a free spot and walking 2 miles to the game.

Good, shouldn't be a problem then.

Because that's the charge. You don't have to park your car there. You could park it for free two miles away, Jackie Joyner Kersee.

So don't park there. I doubt there will be large men with rifles pointed at your head forcing you to park in these lots.

Alabama. They charge $20 to park in the exterior campus lots which are about a mile away.

So don't park there. Problem solved.

just curious if you know how much it costs to park in the Lockett Lot right at the top of the hill

if you know the answer, and many people don't, you might understand why so many people are upset

I have been to at least 15 Ranger games in the last 10 years and have NEVER walked anywhere near a mile to get to a game.

You do know that Dallas Coyboys new stadium isnt even a mile from Ranger's Stadium right? And the parking lot closest to that stadium is 2500 feet away from Rangers Stadium..

Nice try but dont lie next time. There isnt a single parking spot over 3/4 a mile from their stadium. Not even in the Six Flags parking lot.

This isn't some novel concept LSU has come up with. Most major programs charge people to park on campus.

I heard the same bitching in the beginning of the decade about ticket price increases and the TAF. Didn't change a thing and neither will this.

OK, a-hole, I didn't have season tickets back then. I didn't previously park the exact same distance as the hayfield lots back for PAID GAMEDAY PARKING, right past all of the Season Parking Pass lots. I didn't walk down that drainage area, then through all of those lots.

I made ALL of that up. And hey a-hole, that Cowboys stadiumm wasn't there in 96. So neither was that parking. Dumbshit. But since you brought the cowboys up, you are CERTAINLY paying $20 and walking a long way for those games.
