My observations:
Purple team seemed to consist of the starters which were:
Stringer
Dotson
Turner
Warren
White
- Stringer was solid and overall smart with the ball. He didn't do much penetrating but showed that he can hit the 3 especially in transition
- Dotson takes a back seat role generally. However, there was one big difference from last year... he hit two open 3s (and it wasn't like he shot many - these are the only 2 i remember him taking) late in the game which he was unable to do last year. He also looked good on one drive getting to the rim w/ good elevation but couldn't finish
- Turner was a scorer period. He could drive, get out in transition, and shoot. Really excited about him
- Storm was relatively quiet. Made a few buckets down low w/ a little fade shot from the post
- White being here w/ Storm is going to be huge. Last year team's could really key on Storm down low but having both of them gives a lot of versatility. White showed he could hit a mid range jumper but didnt really do too much strictly from the post. He also looked a little lax w/ this game kind of joking around a lot but I'm anxious to see him in real action.
- Green and Harris didn't show much improvement from last year. I like how the OP said Green must be hurt bc he missed the goal on two shots. He was either being sarcastic or didn't watch last year in which about 40% of GG shots were airballs
- Bass looks about the same. Still cant shoot
- Populist would be ahead of Bass right now if it were up to me. He has the ability to hit the 3 which he did a couple of times at the game and is relatively smart w/ the ball (don't know what the OP was talking about him playing sparingly bc he played almost the whole time)
- Ludwig looks solid. Won't hurt you, does the right things, etc. Possibly has an improved jumper but didnt take it enough to really tell
- Derenbecker as said hit a couple 3s early but the entire Gold teams offense ran through him so he tried to do way too much at times and probably had near double digits turnovers. He will certainly benefit from not having to carry a load offensively and has some serious range w/ his 3 and no confidence issues
Misc: Tuba guy did play

thanks for the updates, I was wondering how the game went. It sounds about like I expected.
To me, White and Warren aren't great offensive players, they get thier points due to great effort and put-backs.
I had heard that Turner could shoot lights-out. (Mark Godfried said this every time he called and LSU game last year) Glad to see that this is true.
Green is awful. Nothing personal against the guy, but he gives you 0 offensively and defensively.
Harris could be a big X-factor if healthy.
