Might as give my rating.

I think the defense is good but I'm not sold they are dominant like some of our top defenses through the years.

The special teams is very very good but PP's really spectacular returns seem to have happened mostly early in the year.

I have to admit that the offense is just kind of boring and almost depressing to watch. I keep thinking back to the days of the pistol or even back to when we could gash off long game breaking runs fairly consistently. I just don't seee that.

So the guy who started the thread wanting us to rate the ENTIRE PROGRAM just gave his 2 cents and only rated this years team.nice

Anyway, I'd give the entire program a 95 or so. We are still a top 5% program when compared to every program nation wide. That's not saying we're a top 5 team, but when you factor in every aspect that makes a program what it is, we're at the top of this list in just about everything. This includes what you see on the field every game as well as facilities, conference prestige, position within the conference, location, fertile recruiting area, money in the program, etc.

Facilities Id give an A-: Practice facilities and weight room are second to none. Tiger Stadium has lost some of its aura. Not as roudy as it used to be, in need of some renovations, etc.. Still seats 92k + and really gets up for the big games.

Coaching Id give a B+: In any other conference this would be enough to win out or at least 10 games every year, but this is the SEC. Something needs to change and quick.

Talent Id give an A: Only reason I haven't given it an A+ is because a lot of it hasnt lived up to hype. Not many schools out there would get an A on talent so we are very good in that department.

Development I'd give a B-: The only reason I even gave this a B- is because of the defensive players' development. If not for them I'd give a C-. For some reason our offensive stars have seemed to regress over the last 2-3 years. Most of the big plays we see or great catches/throws, etc, are on talent alone. Funadmentals, discipline, and technique are just not there imo.

....................

Defense: A-
I'm very excited to see this defense in the next few years. So many young stars in the making. But because we are so young, it has shown a few times this season. The D-line is SO fast but we have problems with over-pursuing at times. Linebackers are solid at best. Take Kelvin out and we might have issues. Secondary is very talented.

Offense: Not really a surprising C-
They are lucky to even get that high of a rating. It's fun watching the oregons, and stanfords, and the rest of the high powered offenses around the country. They have one thing we have not had since 2007. An Identity. I don't even think the players know what the hell it is we are on offense. The only reason we have even stayed in ANY of the games we have played this year besides the defense/special teams is talent alone. It's a good thing we are pulling recruiting classes.

Special Teams: A+
on coverage and returns, this squad is special

Recruiting: A-
I think we have missed out on a lot of really great players over the years, but we have also picked up some even better ones. The QB situation is big concern though imo. I dont really count Zach Lee as a QB recruit last year because he was recruited heavier on the baseball side. Just so happens he could throw a football also.

Overall I'd give a solid A- for the state of our program. It really isnt hard to see what we need to work on, the question is, do we have the means to fix it??

Oh, I guess you could say 90
