You're pretty much right. But, the most disappointing thing for me was the lack of defensive scheme or any adjustments. We tackled poorly as well, but time and time again we only had one defender near a position to make a play in the wide open field.... and they didn't make the play.

For instance (1 of perhaps 25), on the 70 yd td run - even if Newton would have kept the ball and gone off-tackle, even he is 20 yards into the secondary before even being touched, and he might have scored, too, the way things were going.

We might have tried something different with Mingo, but whatever we did, it didn't show. The only time I saw us make Newton commit was late in the game when K.Shep. finally tackled the back in the backfield and Newton ran for 7 yards around left end.

Sure, we were whipped, esp. our OL from 2nd Q on, and didn't deserve to win, and were lucky to be in the game late. However, I don't think it's a stretch to say our coaches deserve an F for that game preparation.
