Actually LSU did try to pass against McNeese. In the postgame press conference, Les Miles said that that was one of the objectives going in and they failed at it. Just sayin...

Miles also admitted the gameplan was scaled back.

22 attempts to me isnt a gameplan of "we're gonna throw it today". only completing 14 against them isnt impressive.

McNeese had 33 attempts by comparison.

I'm a bigger McNeese fan on this board than just about anybody.....

LSU's gameplan was vanilla. PERIOD.

Actually, Lee's numbers looked good. In terms of attempts, however, they really didn't pass much.

Regardless, I think we all know by now that Les Miles version of success and failure are quite different that what logic might dictate.
