true LSU fans that see the risk he presents over the long haul and want to have more consistency in his position

please. miles presents a long term risk? let's see, he is uber successful in recruiting, has the most consistent victory totals in LSU history, wins the games he's supposed to and competitive in games even when he is suppossed to lose and has won 80% of his bowl games. he graduates players at an unprecedented rate, runs a clean program and his players stay out of trouble. believe me when i say, that is top notch. replacing miles could be and probably would be a huge mistake. call me what you want (and i'm sure you will), but if you just step back and compare miles record with ANY COACH IN AMERICA AT ANY TIME IN THE HISTORY OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL, you have to admit that we have a damn good HC. i don't care about his public speaking abilities. the long term risk is not in keeping coach miles, the risk is in letting him go. at any given time on this board, the fans fall in love with a competeing coach. mark richt is a perfect example. fans would have killed for him to be LSU's coach just 12 months ago. no matter the team had a bail bondsman of staff, mo matter he has a losing record now, etc, etc. some fans even want a coach with no HC experience; some guy named muschamp comes to mind. he's a guy that has all the talent in the world and can't stop the run. but, he's gotta be a world beater as a HC, right? frank beamer has been mentioned; yea, let's be like virginia tech! while i agree that some fans don't necessarily want miles to fail (overtly anyway) but they seem willing for anything to happen that will facilitate miles being fired. they are laying low (mostly) after the big UF win, but we are one loss away from their "i told you so" triumphant return.
