Auburn parking north of the stadium

If anybody's interested, there's a 15-acre grass lot just four-tenths of a mile north of the Aubie stadium. For years, we've been making that ugly mile-plus walk from the RV lots on the south side. Google Auburn, AL and look for the intersection of N.Donahue and Loachapoka/14 Road. N. Donahue runs right by the stadium. Cross the railroad tracks and the lot is in front of you. If they're no longer in business, it's a simple matter to go back to the RV lots...GEAUX

There is also a new tiered parking lot very close to the stadium with a bathroom to customers, but if you plan on tailgating forget it since its banned in the lot. You can buy a pass online and print it out. With fees its 30 bucks and you can stay up to 4 hrs after the game.
Parking lot
Is the grassy area free?

Grass lot isn't free. Two years ago, the fee was $15 per car, but you could set up tents/cook.

Are there any bars near the stadium?

The grass area you are talking about isnt free anymore, and it is a lot smaller than what it used to be. But, you can park along the street on Bragg and Donahue, which is right across the st. There are always spots there.
As far as bars, almost all of Auburn's bars are in walking distance of the stadium. Probably an 8 min walk.
