Palmer is what I'd be concerned ab, if he continues to suck, 85's stock will be inconsistent at best. Roddy White is a top 3 WR right now at worst

he's dynamic and is the guy in PHI, what more could you want from a RB? Sure he could slow down, but you could say the same ab every RB but AP getting majority of carries. PHI's offense is one of the best in the leauge when Vick gets back and McCoy is one of their best weapons.

Point taken.

quote:

He had a chance to slow down w/ cracked ribs, and showed no signs of doing that.

Injuries can pile up quickly on RBs though.

Look, sure it COULD be a reach to say that McCoy isn't a great option going forward. We're basically playing the stock market. Gore is probably at a low price, McCoy is at a high. It all depends on what you see going forward. Some think McCoy keeps this pace, I don't. And if you're making a trade, your only benefit is what is in front of you. The points he's already earned don't matter.

I really want Marshall, Ocho will be trade bait once he has a good game.

So my strategy is getting a good wide receiver and an investment in Ocho who will turn around. "Hopefully"

And bound to miss some games at this point. His workload is ridiculous. I should have said "expect McCoy" to slow down.

says who? he played his best game last night while being "injured". touching the ball 20 times a game is ridiculous? shite.

quote:

Yeah he was 7th overall preseason. Where is he now? That's right: behind Peyton Hillis and Matt Forte.

Seriously? In a standard scoring league, Gore is currently the 7th ranked RB. In a PPR league, he is 3rd being only 6 points behind McCoy for the top RB spot.

quote:

Don't get me wrong, I think we breaks out, but if you can get Gore on the cheap, I would pull the trigger.

You think he breaks out? Pretty sure has been broken out. He has 322 yards rushing and 33 catches for 285 receiving with 3 total TDs.. on a winless team.

You aren't getting him "on the cheap". If you do, that person who trades him on the cheap is a moron.

quote:

I have Marshall, and again, he's a slight disappointment so far. As someone who produced in Denver, and hasn't really found stride yet, he CAN break out, but there's a pretty good chance he doesn't live up to the preseason hype.

Christ.. he's averaging 7 catches a game and almost 85 yards. What were his expectations??? He only has 1 score which is the only disappointment. More will come and he will finish top 10 WR. He's played 4 damn games.

quote:

Nothing I said was way out of line.

Not out of line. Just not well thought out.

See above. I just think Gore is better in the end. I don't think McCoy keeps the pace up.

I'm not arguing that Gore is an awful player only to get worse or something. He'll be a Top 10 fantasy player(not just RB) by the end of season.

Well yeah. That was kind of the point of my quote. You could probably get Gore on the cheap because someone out there DOESN'T think he is putting up great numbers.

Fair enough. I hope you're right. I just see it as a problematic situation relative to where you had to draft him if you do have him. 3 Rnd or so.

I think Marshall and Henne are still gelling. With Bess starting to play well catching those underneath balls, it will only open up the field for Marshall. He will start finding the endzone and will be fine

Agreed. It looks promising. I'll probably start him, but still, there could be better options

You got good points. I typed out my original post while working (yay for multitasking) and misrepresented a lot of things I was saying. I mean, to me, if you are trading away White/Gore you're trading away the top targeted WR who will get his yards and TDs, and a RB who I think will be a Top 10 player by seasons end. Not smart. That's all I meant.

I agree too and that's my only problem with the trade, but it's still early and Ocho will be a great trade bait when he has another good game and I think Marshall is going to go off.
Also I have Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson so I do have other wide receivers

I understood what you meant as a whole, and I agree. I would hold on to both white and gore, both will be top 10 and are very consistent scoring fantasy points.

I really want Mccoy and Mccoy and Gore balance out however I think two good receivers for one real good receiver is a good idea. I just want 4 solid receivers so I can trade one in the future for a running back
