I've heard there are a few teams from the south that may give them a run in the playoffs.
There are some teams in the state that could give WM a run for their money. St Thomas More, Acadiana, Dutchtown, St. Aug...I look for those teams to be tough to beat.

I can't wait to see if this happens because there isn't a team left on the schedule who should keep it in the same park.
I hate our district!!!! But our disrict gets a bum rap too. Everybody thinks our district is weak because WM rolls everybody. But Ouachita is not a bad team. They are very talented. Coaching is killing them. Byrd is good, as is Captain Shreve and I hear Natchitoches Central is improved. The sad thing is WM is so good they make everyone else look real bad but they do that to everyone for the most part!

I agree that Ouachita is a legit playoff contender but just can't sign off on any of the 5-A Shreveport teams doing much in the playoffs, unless they feed upon each other.
West Monroe's defensive line is simply dominant. Their first half last night was the best I've seen by the Rebs in a long time, and that's taking into consideration the Rebels are almost ALWAYS good on defense, year-in and year-out.
Also, QB Paul Turner (LSU Signee) threw the ball better than I've ever seen, despite the fact he seldom sets his feet to throw. Crisp passes on the money, every time last night. And we know he can run.

I haven't seen West Monroe play this year, but I did see them a few times last year. I assume this year's team is comparable. I have seen STM play, and while good, they are not West Monroe good. Of course, they could certainly win, but I think West Monroe probably wins 7-8 out of 10 games. But that's why they play the games. Good West Monroe teams have lost in the 2nd round recently.
