I think he's going to limit Lee's exposure in an attempt to mitigate the QB controversy.

Wrong. I think he knows eventually he's gonna have to give Lee a shot. He's setting it up so if Lee fails he'll be able to go back to JJ and hopefully the dude won't be a total basket case.

The coaches know they have to tread lightly.

Precisely.

Although I completely disagree with putting Lee in the situation he was faced with last Saturday.

In light of how he accused non-appreciative fans of having unhappy marriages, yes, I suppose he does fancy himself a Dr. Phil.

Two responses:

(1) Preserving Jefferson's confidence by repeating reassuring mantras is completely ineffectual. At some point, Jefferson has to step onto the field and actually perform well against a talented defense, or we will lose. Thus far, he has simply beeen incapable of executing;

(2) If Miles is going to play Lee, he must do so this week. It would be disastrous (not to mention unfair) to force Lee into his first meaningful action of the year when we are losing to a talnted Florida team in front of a hostile crowd at the Swamp.

soooo... is he waiting to do it against Florida or Alabama? Woudnt that be setting the kid of for failure? If he knows he has to work Lee in, theres no way you can justify waiting until we play those teams to do it.

And the very thought of coddling a football player =
