I am going to be purchasing one of those combo sets of power towels in the next couple of weeks and am having a hard time choosing betweent Ryobi or Porter Cable Lithium set. I have used a Ryobi set before and it did the job. However I was at lowes the other day and saw a Porter Cable set. Can anyone make a suggestion.

I've never really used Porter Cable, but I have a couple of Ryobi drills that have always done the job for me. In my opinion Ryobi is a great deal as far a getting quality for a good price.
Those combo sets inlcude skill saw and drill, correct?

I don't have any experience with those two brands but I do have a craftsman 19.2v set like that. It has a light, drill, reciprocating saw and skill saw. If it is anything like the craftsman set you can't go wrong. I use the hell out of mine.

Ive recently been interested in one of these too, but i already have the dewalt drill. do they offer the bundles minus the power drill or with something else in its place?

Just my opinion, but the cordless set is a complete waste of money. The circular saw and reciprocating saws aren't good for more than a couple of cuts and its really really rare you'd need one cordless anyway. You'll wear you batteries out quickly and end up not liking those tools anyway.
Get a good cordless drill, and go corded with the rest. Porter Cable makes good stuff, but so do most of the other popular brands like Dewalt and Milwaukee and even Hitachi. And these corded tools will last you forever.
Disclosure: I have a Ryobi cordless set. The drill gets used lots. The rest stays in the case.

Heard good things about PC. Don't have either brand though.

I have a Hitachi cordless drill, impact wrench, and light all lithium ion and they are legit. I also bought a Hitachi circular saw and jig saw not cordless. These tools are legit and rated very good with consumers reports. A friend that works at lowes recommended them over Dewalt b/c Dewalt was bought by Black and Decker and isn't the same anymore. He also told me from what is sold at Lowes Hitachi>Dewalt>Porter Cable.
