Jefferson threw five 200+ yard passing games against BCS opponents in 2009.

Miss. State . . 233
Georgia . . . . . 212
Auburn . . . . . .242
Ole Miss . . . . 250
Penn State . . .202

Why do some people think that he won't throw a 200+ yard passing game this year?

i know people that visit the lSU practices and swear JJ is righ on target from 20 yards to 50 yards. I think He freezes during regular season games .

Miss. State (5-7, no bowl)
Georgia (7-5, Independence bowl)
Auburn (7-5, Outback bowl)
Ole Miss (8-4, Cotton bowl)
Penn State (1st bowl loss ever under Miles)

Those are games we lost or were trailing, so many of those yards were picked up against prevent defenses. Not exactly an outstanding resume. I notice you purposefully left out:

Washington - 172 yards (5-7, no bowl)
Vandy - 138 yards (2-10, no bowl)
ULL - 165 yards (6-6, no bowl)
Fla - 96 yards (11-1, SECGC, Sugar bowl)
Tul - 163 yards (3-9, no bowl)
Ark - 179 yards (7-5, Liberty Bowl)

So against non-bowl qualifiers he averages only 174 yards per game. Against BCS bowl qualifiers he averages under 100 yards per game.

He will throw for 200 a couple of times this year, but it will most likely be in a blowout. I certainly cringe at the thought of LSU having to come back late in a game and depend on him passing. JJ can pass for a lot of yards. He just isn't consistent.

he will for certain. Not sure against anyone that matters.

Here's the stats that you have to keep in mind. As a whole in 2009 we averaged LESS PPG in SEC play than in 2008 eventhough our D in 2008 was shittier and our opportunities were less.
Figure that out? Miles and CROWTON didn't want to "effect" his ego in 2009. They SAID during fall practice this year they would allow him to take more risks. He has not made that transformation yet b/c of those 2. He is affraid to make mistakes.

just me,

I don't know why some people think that...I happen to believe that he is doing what the coaches are asking him to do right now. I think at some point this season the coaches will take some of the restrictions off of him and he will indeed pass for not only 200, but over 300 yards at some point this year.
