I've seen a few WVU fans trying to belittle LSU's competition to date. According to Sagarin, LSU's SOS is currently rated #32. WVU's current SOS is rated #130. It's true, LSU hasn't played top flight competition through three games. Having said that, it's a lot better than what WVU has faced. LSU has outscored their opponents by a combined 52 points, WVU has outscored their opponents by a combined 48 points.

We'll find out who's better on Saturday night, but I'd say that LSU is the more battle tested team heading into this great matchup. I can't wait, I hear that WVU fans bring it pretty hard!

No doubt, and each team will see their SOS rating get a nice bump after this top 25 matchup.

Playing styles of the teams faced have a lot to do with it...
too early to really know WHAT has each team really faced....LSU has likely faced better opponents..but that could be argued.
We have similar stats...against arguably stronger opponents but ?????????

No, it really can't be argued. LSU has faced better competition to date. It doesn't mean squat if LSU loses on Saturday night, but it's a fact as of now.

Hands down LSU to date. NC while depleted on Defense probably is better than 2/3rd of who WVU has played. SEC while it is Vandy and MSU, I still think they always play most of the teams tough and the tough teams in the SEC are some of the better/best teams in NCAA so yes I think we have stiffer competition to date.

Didn't need Sagarin's ratings to know that but thanks for posting. All three LSU victims would clobber Maryland IMO. That's not to say anyone takes WVU lightly but the competion so far(and for the remainder of the season) is not even close. Several FCS schools have played tougher schedules than WVU to this point. That all changes tomorrow night.
