That might have been the dumbest article I have ever read regarding LSU football in my entire life.

Miles may have done his best
coaching job in 2007. It was the
year after LSU had a record four
players picked in the first round
(quarterback JaMarcus Russell,
defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey,
and receivers Dwayne Bowe and
Buster Davis).

Researching is Ed Daniels' problem, not spewing crap.

Seriously, that's terrible.

I guess we can see why he writes for the Clarion Herald. My Grandmother used to read it religiously.

Besides the inaccuracies, it's really hard to read and comprehend that article. It jumps too much.

Miles is a decent QB away from never having lost more than 2 games in a year.

Daniels is a fool.

Miles recruiting has been overrated to a point due to the lack of a viable QB and Oline productivity and depth, as Daniels points out....However, overall, the perception of Miles's recruiting prowess as overshadowing his coaching is largely correct I believe.

His facts are not in-tact, and he fails to see how Crowton is anything but special, but he is correct in general that Miles recruiting retention and recruiting "rotational pattern" has been inadequate, albeit he makes this point poorly.

Bottom line is that the QB and Oline positions are probably the most important on the entire team, and these are the areas where Miles has fared the worse. And the QB and Oline performance or lack thereof will be the determining factor in whether LSU has an ok or special year in 2010.

Chances are, if Dayne Crist had not fallen for Charlie Weiss' con-job on him, we might be co-favorites to win the SEC.

That was not Miles' fault. Weiss fooled the kid into believeing he had a legitiment shot at starting and that did not turn out to be true.
