WVU's 3-3-5 defense is built to stop the run, however, this will be a big test for our front 6. We have more depth than we've had in years on the D-Line, but our leading tackler from last season Pat Lazear hasn't played any this season and our LB depth is thin.
One advantage to the odd stack is that it can confuse opposing QB's who haven't played against it, and it takes a few series to get the hang of it, and when they do, Jeff Casteel (D-Cord) has been great at making adjustments.
