Point 1 - what Dandy sees in practice is basically warmups and drills...much like watching a batter in batting practice or a golfer on a practice green. So I wouldn't put too much stock in that.
Much of Les' issues as a coach can be boiled down to the common phrase "Good is the enemy of Great". He really believes that the QB is "close", and if they keep working on in, he'll get it. The problem is, sometimes you have to realize that what you're doing may never work, you may have peaked. But when you're "close", that's a difficult decision to make.
Personally, I have seen enough good things out of this team so far that I'm going to enjoy the season and let it play out. I think there is enough variety in the offense to score some points, although it may be frustrating to watch.

That's a really good-- arguably great :snickerstoself:-- point. It is debatable (as evidenced on TD) how well the offense and JJ are doing, and whether they are progressing or regressing. Miles clearly wants to believe the offense and JJ are progressing. He may be proven right over time, but if he's not, then how bad will it have to be for him to make changes, either on a coaching/playcalling or QB level? It's shaping up to be an interesting, soap opera like season.

We moved the chain, scored on our 1st 7 drives, punted once, allowed 7 pts, and won by 3 TDs when we were the favorite by bout 7.
Do we need to play better as we move on? Sure, but some nice things going on with this team. imo
