Reality

We have had TDs of 84, 65, 51, 50, and 30 yards in only two games. I would think that is close to leading the nation in big plays.

This was against BCS schools also and not some shite cupcake like San Jose St., Arky St., or Jax St.

How many 21+ yard TDs does LSU have in two games? Thanks.

This is how I interpreted it also. And as it is with all statistics, the numbers need an interpretation. We have a low red zone efficency because we never got to the red zone. We scored before that. Another thing is that you have a very small sample upon which to make categorical and definitive statements. You have two games from across the board with each team playing different opponents early in the season. This is a statistic best viewed in late October or November.

First we bitch because we don't have enough big plays. Then we score on several big plays so we bitch about not scoring enough in the red zone......after 2 games.

these numbers are meaningless at this point in the season. i would say the same thing if were converted 100% after just 2 games. we have played about 15% of our games. the numbers are scewed because of an interception and a fumble (or two) in the red zone and a missed field goal. let's see how the season progresses before we label our red zone offense. statistics cannot be taken at face value; there is a story behind them that is the real issue. if we correct our fumbling, if our field goal kicker improves his accuracy to normal levels and if our qb either doesn't attempt many passes or throws better fade routes, we can greatly increase this.

4 turnovers in the red zone including 2 fumbles and 2 ints would affect this ranking. It's OK after 2 games in the season.

It's two games idiots. The stats are almost meaningless right now.

This statistic is skewed. Missippi State is tied for #1 and they have only been in the red zone 4 times?

I am not saying that this is not an issue for LSU, but the statistic does not have any real value.
