What the hell do you expect? It's the best pre-season mag out there and it's great for looking at trends, to draw your own conclusiobs before wagering. If you think there's a better mag out there, I'm all ears. The rest that I've seen are all opinions with no data...atleast his guesses are educated.

I don't bet so I don't need all that. What I'm talking about is that I've looked at his mag for 4 straight years and it's the same old shite. I mean it's like he cut & pasted most of his stuff.

So which mags are better? CBS Sportsline, Athlon, Lindy's, Sporting News...because I don't bet so I dont care about spreads & shite. Does Phil have a shite load of info? Yes, but it's the same stuff over and over again.

The interesting thing about predictions is that when you are right, no one ever remembers. And when you are wrong no one ever forgets. Some predictions are very easy to make. I am predicting that the sun will come up tomorrow, and yes I know that technically, that is not true.

Football predictions are done to me in a clinical and antiseptic way, but that's on Monday or Tuesday. It's hard to factor in desire, character, or "want." I don't see us peaking right now, but I think Ridley had some valuable insights. HE knows they have to play better and make less mistakes. Jefferson knows that, too. That's the intangible. Will his best self show up, or will we see his struggling alter ego? So much of this game is about emotion. If there were a statistic such as yards per high, maybe you could read something into it. I use to watch those thirty minute commercials about handicapping every now and then, none of those guys had, by their account, a record of less than 70 or 80% handicapping wins. Very bogus.

I am content to play the game, and I am anxious to see what happens. Last year is a good example. We had no business winning that game, but instead of a "Bluegrass miracle," we get a "Chad Jones" miracle.
