MNF just now, LSU vs. Penn St. Cap One Bowl

Anyone just see the scramble for a loose ball on the fumbled punt return?
A Jet player in the pile was picked up and body slammed by a Raven.
No flag.
Our resident official arrakis says this doesn't happen. Wanted proof of such offenses. Needed a link provided.
He felt the call on Hitt was justified and appropriate. I pointed out the scramble on the Super Bowl onsides kick and the pulling of players from that pile that didn't receive a penalty, and now just witnessed an even more egregious reference point, that was not flagged.
Am I wrong in feeling the call on Hitt was excessive and unnecessary?
