When GC had a QB, offense was fine, he needs a QB to fit his system, and he doesn't have that.

THIS is total BS in my opinion. He had a mature Matt Flynn.
JJ is HIS guy. I know he didn't recruit JL, but still should have had him ready when RP went to shite.

Go back and see his stats from previous coaching days at Oregon and Utah. EVERY year was progressively worse even with his people in there. He is a one and done kind of coach. I stated this when we hired him and will stand by it.

I agree that Crowton has not been "blessed" with great QB ability lately BUT does that give him the excuse to just run plays that DO NOT work over & over & over again? It is NO secret that LSU's QB position is very thin but a good OC wouldn't ask a QB to do things that he is not capable of or is not comfortable with. With the talent surrounding the QBs on this team at running back & reciever, a good OC should gameplan around the strengths & not force the QB into a system of plays that DO NOT WORK, ie. JJ running the option or being asked to check down 3 & 4 recievers. JJ is not capable of running a spread offense & he has NO feel for the option, why does Crowton insist on this being the ONLY identity he is willing to give this offense? I have always said that Crowton could be Coach Miles' Tepper if he doesn't handle the issue. After what I saw in the 2nd half last night, I think Coach Miles may have started "handeling" that issue.

But why can't GC fit his system to the OB, that's what a good OC would do.

But that's the point- he doesn't have a QB for his system...so rather than change the offense for the QB's he does have, he continues to try & knock a square peg into a round one- that sounds to me like a man that needs to lose his job...I heard there were money issues with Crowton last year, which meant they would be reluctant to let him go; this year no excuses- he needs to go!!

He didn't run his offense in 2007.

2008 and 2009 are Gary Crowton's offense.
