You may also be able to get by with an air rifle like the gammo whisper. not as noisy and will be less likely to piss people off.
Also, in a hunting club I was in, one of our best deer hunters loved for me to hunt squirrels while he deer hunted. Moved the deer.

Hell I see more squirrels sitting in my deer stand than anywhere else. Just sit up there witht he Gammo air rifle and pick a few off. Wear orange.
