I watched the game again this morning and am much more positive than I was last night. Especially about Jefferson. He didn't play bad at all, actually. Lots of positives to take from this game, despite the hysteria on here. I suggest you look for those things as you watch the replay.

I did like the pass protection.

We seemed to execute at a higher level than most of last year, particularly at QB. Timing plays seemed sharper, solid decision making for the most part. We ran reasonably well against a front 7 that still had a lot of NFL talent.

There were lots of positives, although there can be no denying that we started sleepwalking on both sides of the ball late in the 3rd quarter and our coaching staff didn't do enough to stop it. The whole stadium seemed dead at that point and the players on both sides. Then the 97 yard TD happened. They woke up and we didn't. Damn the fumbles and holding penalties that killed the game-icing drives.

But considering it's the first game, and a game played under very unusual circumstances, I'll take it as an improvement and assume we won't continue fumbling this much.
