Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt revealed Wednesday that Early Doucet may have a sports hernia that could require surgery.
The team is awaiting further tests. Whisenhunt says the Cards would keep Doucet on the roster, rather than place him on I.R., if he needed surgery. Steve Breaston, after a seven-catch opener, has seen his fantasy value solidified. He's no longer going to lose snaps or targets to Doucet, and showed an impressive rapport with Derek Anderson on underneath and over-the-middle passes in Week 1. Doucet can be dropped in 10- and 12-team leagues.
